Chapter 13: Tailing

As his mind was full of that scene where Xu Yanyan killed him, Linze was completely sleepless last night.

It made Linze very listless when going to school this morning, causing him to nearly lie down during lessons for an entire morning.

During those periods there's quite a couple of times where he was fielded to answer questions given by the teacher, but had the situation back to normal under the help given by his good buddy Yan Yebo.

When it's almost lunchtime in the afternoon, Yan Yebo unceremoniously used his hands to smack Linze's back.

「I'd say, what happened to you already. Don't tell me that you've obtained onto something nice, otherwise why does your body look to be like as if it has the vitality sucked out of it.」

「Let's first not talk about that, I only want to confirm it again, do you really not remember about the matter where I've discussed with you about creating mangas together.」

The current Linze lethargically laid on his desk, slightly raising his face up looking at Yan Yebo.

「Hey, you've asked me this question twice already. Haven't I said it earlier, you completely didn't mention it to me before. However, it is indeed a good idea to create mangas together, it seems to be a good way to spend my time during high school. Oh right, I heard that Hanying from our class is an expert at painting, how about you tag her along in it as well.」

Yan Yebo suggested to Linze.

After Linze gave it a moment's thought, he sighed and said.

「Sounds like a good idea, but let's postpone the matter of asking Hanying till tomorrow.」

After he had finished saying, Linze continued to be like a pile of mud as he slumped on the desk.

It seemed that Linze was only able to relax himself only amongst the crowd of people at school, and after he had comfortably closed up his eyes, Linze said towards Yan Yebo.

「Help me to buy my lunch, I'm okay with anything. Thanks, my good pal.」

「Hey.......looks like I have no choice.」

Yan Yebo scratched his head, then walked out of the classroom rather resignedly.

Aligned with his memory with regards to his sister's school, after skipping a lesson later on, Linze rushed towards the middle school where his sister Linling studied last time, and hid himself by the school gates before school had ended.

Behind a certain electrical pole, Linze had his school attire changed, donning a black short sleeved t shirt along with trousers while standing over there.

In order to disguise his suspicious behavior, along with not drawing too much of passerbys' attention, Linze feigned playing with his phone while waiting for someone.

He remembered that the middle school that his sister studied was the city's number one aristocratic school【Dulwich Germany International School】.

In Linze's impression, that middle school seemed to be the one of the very few aristocratic school in this province.

Dulwich Germany International School is the one of the most prestigious international schools from Germany, and is affiliated to Berlin Dulwich College. In this country, their teaching method involves using pure English on teaching their students.

Since it's an aristocratic college, they would naturally, in order to maintain a good school atmosphere other than having exorbitant school fees, not allow its admission where any random stranger could go in even after having donating funds to the school.

Towards the school's admission, they have a very stringent selection process.

Linze snuck a glance at those plainly decorated yet style undeprived gates of Dulwich college; it's not the school's dismissal timing so far, yet there's all sorts of luxury sedans by the roadside.

To be frank, Linze had the feeling that all of the sedans present could even used for an auto show.

Those luxury sedans were those superior kinds that were usually difficult to even witness appearing on the roads, while there's a couple of limited edition sports cars amongst them as well.

When seeing that there were still some low-priced cars amongst those vehicles, Linze was about to heave a sigh of relief, but then he noticed that those few low-priced cars possessed insanely wicked license plate numbers.

Suddenly Linze broke out in cold sweats for his sister Linling, for his family was an ordinary family.

Other than his father Comrade【Lin Baogen】being a transvestite, everything else was extremely ordinary.

To be studying at this kind of atmosphere, Linze suddenly seemed to understand on why his sister would choose to be a transient student at the neighboring city's progression classes for half a year.

Just by looking at the school gates itself caused him to feel enormous amounts of stress.

Once the time was punctually up,【Dulwich】's school gates opened, followed by a few students leaving one after another.

Linze at this moment threw his gaze over at【Dulwich】's school gates, intending to wait for Xu Yanyan's arrival.

Today, Linze's aim was very simple, and that was to【Tail】Xu Yanyan.

The reason why Linze would decide to stalk Xu Yanyan was very simple, he planned to do a simple investigation on Xu Yanyan.

If Linze assumes that Xu Yanyan will stab him to death on Wednesday.

Then under the assumption that Xu Yanyan decides to stab him to death, it would be evident that there's definitely something occurring during these couple of days.

As that must have affected Xu Yanyan, resulting her in killing him.

Hence in order to avoid that sort of situation from happening as much as possible.

He as a hero of justice, in order to protect Xu Yanyan, as well as to avoid the possibility of himself having the ending of being stabbed to death by Xu Yanyan happening.

Linze of course devised up detailed stalking plans.

But there's a point that Linze had neglected, and it was that he had forgotten【Dulwich】was an aristocratic school.

Adding up that Linze wasn't in the know about Xu Yanyan's family circumstances as well, hence, he wasn't able to rule out that there's a possibility in which she was a daughter of some affluent family.

Should Xu Yanyan board one of the sedans here, towards tailing methods for sedans, Linze had simply left out countermeasures for such tailing means.

Linze just had his mind focused on his disguise, along with how to not let the people in his surroundings pay attention to him.

Looks like if it really can't be done, Linze had finished preparations to call a cab, even though it seemed to be a little eye-catching asking a cab to tail.

Just when Linze was pondering, Xu Yanyan under the accompaniment of 3 similarly aged girls, walked out of the school together.

These girls looked to be happily chatting with Xu Yanyan.

From Linze's observation, could it be that these girls were Xu Yanyan's new friends?

Afterwards, when these few girls and Xu Yanyan had bade each other farewell by the school gates, they boarded their respective family's sedans, while Xu Yanyan seemed to be using her phone to make a call.

At that moment, the【WHITE/ALBUM】melody which Linze was most familiar with rang from his trousers; it was his phone's ringtone.

Linze seemed to have realized onto something, as after he hid himself behind the electrical pole, he immediately plucked out his phone and looked at its display.

Just like as to what Linze had thought, the incoming caller was【Xu Yanyan】.

Linze chose to pick up the call, and while he's behind the cover of the electrical pole, Linze secretly peeked towards Xu Yanyan.

「Is this Big brother Linze?」

Xu Yanyan asked.

「That's right, it's me.」

Linze replied in a hushed tone.

The current Xu Yanyan after hearing that Linze had intentionally lowered his voice, seemed to have realized upon something.

「My bad, I forgot, it can't be that Big brother Linze right now is still having lessons?」

「Not really, right now I'm outside handling a certain matter. Is something the matter?」

「Um.......umm.」

Xu Yanyan seemed to hesitate for a moment, afterwards becoming determined, saying.

「If you don't mind, I'll come to your house tonight to make dinner for you!」

「Umm........yesterday, Big brother Linze's state of mind doesn't seem to be that well, was it because of Linling's departure? In any case, seeing Big brother Linze being in that listless state, I somehow feel that I.......can't ignore it.」

Hearing Xu Yanyan saying such words, Linze currently went in a state of deep thought.

Just as he had expected, Xu Yanyan is a good girl. Hence, he definitely must know onto what had exactly happened.

While at the same time, Linze started to ponder about it's pros and cons.

But considering that his aim today was in order to investigate Xu Yanyan, it's evident that it would be most effective to have her secretly investigated, hence Linze immediately chose to decline's Xu Yanyan's suggestion.

「Thanks alot, but it's all right, I'll be home very late today.」

「It's fine, actually, I'm able to wait for you to reach home.......」

But Xu Yanyan hadn't finished speaking when she was interrupted by Linze.

「It's really all right, I'll be settling my dinner outside today.」

「I, I see.」

Suddenly, Xu Yanyan seemed to be a little depressed, but she immediately seemed to have thought of something as she once again had her vigor raised.

「Then, does Big brother Linze have time tomorrow, I can make dinner for you tomorrow too.」

「Tomorrow huh.......」

Linze started to consider, and very quickly he came out with a conclusion.

「About that, let's contact each other tomorrow to confirm it again at around this timing.」

Linze gave a vague response, as he decided to go along according to the situation.

「Mm, it's set then.」

Xu Yanyan replied.

「So it'll be that, I'm hanging up.」

As he spoke, Linze very promptly hung up the call.

Next, Linze looked towards Xu Yanyan's direction, to only see Xu Yanyan removing her phone from her ear sides moments later, while at the same time with the smile on her face having appeared to be dimmed a lot.

Dulwich Germany International school = A reference to the Dulwich schools IRL that originated from England instead. Is it a coincidence that his sister studied at a german school?
