Well, you'd know a yandere novel series is good when it can last over 200k words. (500k words is about 250 chapters of What is a Yandere?) In point, this novel is one of the renowned "must-read-bible" series of SFACG pertaining to yandere tags. Anyway, this series had already concluded it's main series, and is now embarking on a sequel on what happened to them after they got uh, together.
Here's a rough plot summary (here comes the spoilers): A girl, in an effort to make a boy's attention span absolutely 100% on her all of the time, goes all out to do whatever she could in order to do so. Like brainwashing him(sequel), massacring any girls who goes near him, or killing off his entire family chain so that he could only have one person to have ties with (herself, as she's claimed she's his gf), killing off their eventual baby they had (to gain more lost affection MC focused on), and so on and forth. Apparently her family was a ancient one with special powers in their blood, granting them superhuman strength/speed/endurance feats, and their family heritage held powerful control within the country, closing an eye to her murder spree and covering up her crimes or helping her when necessary. You'd know MC's f**ked when the plot dictates like that so.
I would tag two extra tags to this novel, Blood/Gore (and R-15 Mature, due to the occasional reverse-aheming) as the numerous ways the yandere murdered people to achieve her means (including another yandere!). Like tying a girl upside down in an abandoned house, naked whilst being tortured and forcing her to eat her own sh*t as substenance for days until she got uh, loony. In short, this novel is definitely not for the light-hearted readers. But this is also why this is one of the best yan novels around, ever. Period.
Are you going to start translating this after you finish What is a Yandere or are you going to wait until you have more free time, please tell me I really like reading Yandere stories. Oh and thanks for all the chapters of What is a Yandere you're doing great :)
Yes that is correct. However, since I'm just a person alone handling all of those translations, please forgive me for focusing on jeopardy first.
Currently (week 6 of school), it's a rush period of several exams, hence at (roughly week 9) my hols, I'm able to do a translating spree once again (like old ldd days).
It is, but I'm tied up with jeopardy right now :(, i feel quite bad ever since I asked the author for permission to tl this yet not being able to out any at all
I think you better drop it. It will decrease your burden too. No one really missed CEY and WY now. LDD also got so many chapters now. I doubt you will catch up. So focusing on jeopardy will be the most logical choice. Translating one novel alone isn't a simple job. Good luck.
Anyway, I don't know if you already read it or not but if you must replace CEY, I think this one (http://book.sfacg.com/Novel/53250/) is the closest one to CEY. It's story is quite similar to CEY I almost think it's a copy-paste, and also the hardcore contents too. Maybe you could find another better novel to translate if you have time and energy lol. Uh, I haven't read much of the translated english yandere novels out there, with the exception of kuro no maou, (dropped at ch200-300+ thou)
What I can say is....I still prefer hardcore yandere novels like [Chronicles of Extreme Yandere] and [Synthesis], or more light-hearted ones like [These Dangerous Girls Placed Me Into Jeopardy], [What to do when being forced into marriage by the Elf Queen?], [What is a Yandere?]
Other than these, not much other yandere could really pique my interest already >.>

DeleteOh, I've seen this one. Dropped it halfway due to me just not liking the author of having the tendency to write the yandere close to be N'd style -3-
